Other than that, these are good to go. I’ll rate them four stars only because the lower mounts seem semi-weak. If these came with beefier lower mounts they’d be five star without doubt. 6 customers found this review helpful. Jonathan Hogue Tuesday, Aug 16 2022 (about 3 years ago) Pro-Line PowerStroke Front Shocks for Traxxas Slash (2) Please be advised, that I race offroad in the stock class with x2 Slash 4x4s. I’ve put these through the wringer as a racer and they’re held up amazingly well. Outside of their rugged durability and aesthetically pleasing appearance, the performance of this suspension is U-N-R-E-A-L! I recommend these to anyone looking for a competitive edge, especially in the racing world. Add to it that Pro-Line has suspension tuning kits for this suspension setup and you’re going to be thrilled.
I tested two Slash 4x4s, one after the other, at the club track. It’s an enormous track, technical, huge hits, and fast straightaways, and this suspension outshined every other configuration that I tried. I noted lap times between the Traxxas GTR suspension, stock, and more, and the laps were far better with the Pro-Line suspension.
Do yourself a favor and upgrade to these shocks, regardless of if you’re racing or bashing! 2 customers found this review helpful. Adam Pinck Thursday, Mar 28 2013 (about 12 years ago) Pro-Line PowerStroke Front Shocks for Traxxas Slash (2) These shock are costly, but well worth it! Super tough and they look sweet. After a few weeks of bashing them pretty hard on my back yard track, I have had no problems at all with these shocks. Highly recommended!! 1 customer found this review helpful. I recently bought these for a friend as a present and the e clip issue that I previously encountered was fixed. Proline replaced the shock shaft in the new shocks with the lock nut style shock shaft. You can buy the lock nut style shafts separately on amazon but I haven’t seen them on a main yet. 1 customer found this review helpful. These especially work well with the Proline protrac suspension kit (Slash 2wd). The combination of the two makes a Traxxas slash very competitive. 1 customer found this review helpful. David Petrus Verified Owner Saturday, Feb 20 2021 (about 4 years ago) Pro-Line PowerStroke Front Shocks for Traxxas Slash (2) Real good, just make sure you bleed them right or end up with 7up in your shock. Anonymous Friday, Jan 31 2014 (about 11 years ago) Pro-Line PowerStroke Front Shocks for Traxxas Slash (2) Aluminum is machined well, threads are nice, very tough shocks, those who blow out cups don’t know how to drive and are slamming things at full speed. Shock pistons are terrible, stock springs are terrible for lightweight 2wd cars. Installed on a Ultima SC they work well after pistons are polished and drilled out along with losi springs (perfect fit).
Really needs derlin pistons, plastic ones are soft junk, but for the money, these are pretty good. 1 of 2 customers found this review helpful.
