Vasiliy Kuzmenko Verified Owner Wednesday, Mar 19 2014 (about 11 years ago) Yokomo 4mm Turnbuckle Wrench Too soft for steel linkages. Maybe for some purporses it well suited, but not for building 1/8 buggy’ camber links. 2 of 3 customers found this review helpful. Bryson Kahaloa Verified Owner Saturday, Feb 3 2024 (about a year ago) Yokomo 4mm Turnbuckle Wrench It’s hard to find turnbuckle wrenches this compact for 4mm turnbuckles.
I have a Tamiya TRF wrench that I’ve owned for some time and while I love it, the thought of losing it is not something I want to think about.
Fortunately, Yokomo has this aluminum (yes, ALUMINUM) 4mm turnbuckle wrench for use with both my TT-02 and my MST RMX 2.0/2.5/3.0 KMW. I liked the price and bought two, the other being for my nephews’ RMX 2.0 S. Yes, those turnbuckles are 4mm and this is better than that rather flat piece of steel they give you and call a “turnbuckle wrench”.
I like the compact design of this so I can make quick alignment changes on the fly when I’m out at the track or on the workbench after a day of drifting. Plus, I’m not worried about losing such a valuable piece of gear from my toolbox.
Overall, it’s just a tool that works and something every racer and drifter should have in their toolbox. Yes, there are better wrenches out there but in a pinch, this will satisfy the job perfectly. Just don’t try to use this on anything larger than 1/10 scale as this tool was made for 1/12 and 1/10 scale cars and buggies. Use for anything larger (1/8 scale) may result in tool breakage.
