Helps to “tighten up” the body where the posts set. I recommend using the clear plastic body protection disc’s on the outside of the body so the pins don’t cause damage after installing these. They are a little thick, though. I wouldn’t preferred them to be slightly thinner but hey, they work as advertised and that’s all that matters. Protects the paint, and a great way to correct/adjust expanded mounting holes if you’ve taken a body cut for a different car (I know that happens a lot for beginner racers using second hand shells as they learn the craft).
