Limit straps are used to take stress off shocks and to control suspension extension. For example, when crawling up or descending steep grades, straps tied to the center of an axle are useful to limit the suspension from unloading and the vehicle from rolling, all while keeping suspension articulation intact. From climbing, to droop control, to super scale looks, these limit straps will get you further and get you noticed!

Mounted closest to chassis on the inside. Definitely helps to crawl better. 1 customer found this review helpful. Chirag Ghuman Saturday, Jul 19 2025 (2 months ago) Hot Racing 90mm Suspension Travel Limit Straps (2) (Gunmetal) I recently bought the 85mm straps for my RC but I’m sure this will be applicable to all their straps. Much to my surprise they’re not true to their advertised length. I wrote to Hot Racing with pictures and invoice asking for a replacement, however, initially I was told that they have to be “persuaded” a bit and that if I “give them a firm tug and try to stretch them, they usually end up the same length” but that didn’t happen. Now if I install them like this, the droop is not equal and it screws up the dynamics. So, I again insisted that I should get a replacement to which they said that they need these back or, alternatively, I can return them to the point of purchase.
Now I’m based outside the US. That means I would have to pay way more than the item itself to send it back to them or the point of purchase. And then they realized that I was not in the US, so they very conveniently said that they do not offer warranty outside the US. That was even worse because I still paid the same price that a US resident would pay but I neither got the same quality nor the same service. I wonder if all this is done on purpose. They’re acting just like Traxxas.
Now for the price I paid, I’d expect these to be Made in Japan or at least Taiwan. But Made in China stuff keeps proving time and time again that it will never meet my expectations. And to top it off their QC is just as bad as the quality of these straps. I’m not too impressed with their aluminum parts either but then everyone knows about it so I’d rather not cover those here. I’d say they’re very low quality items that one should strictly avoid. View all reviews
