The Futaba SBS-01TE Electric Temperature Sensor makes it easy to get the temperature information you need. Simply plug into the S.Bus2 slot on a telemetry-enabled receiver, and the Bi-directional communication will allow the data to be transmitted directly to your Futaba T-FHSS or FASSTest transmitter.

These sensors are tiny and easy to mount on the motor can. I usually put it on the far side of the motor away from any fans. This way my radio can be set to alert me when the motor reaches a preset temp.
