Vincent Petruccelli Verified Owner Sunday, Dec 23 2018 (about 6 years ago) Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink & Fan Combo Works very well to reduce motor temperatures. However, it will only fit on a 550 size motor and NOT a 540 size motor like a traxxas VXL. 5 customers found this review helpful. Shawn Noe Verified Owner Saturday, Jun 30 2018 (about 7 years ago) Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink & Fan Combo Bought for Tekin Pro4 HD 4300 in a Tekno 410.3. The diameter is fine but the length is an issue. I trimmed off somewhere around 1/8″ from each side. I’m using a large zip tie to prevent the heat sink from sliding into the motor power posts.
It’s a tight fit in the 410.3. Smaller pinions will require shaving the risers on the side to clearance the middle support brace, or remove the brace.
Overall I think this is a good product although I didn’t expect it to (possibly) be specifically and only for Hobbywing motors. At least I hope that it would require no modifications to fit on Hobbywing’s own products. I haven’t had the chance to use it yet but I expect it to perform adequately. 4 customers found this review helpful. Blake Smith Verified Owner Thursday, May 23 2024 (about a year ago) Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink & Fan Combo Does not fit Hobby wing 3660 sized motors! It is too long by about 3mm, or .100″. Also the opening is not big enough to fit around the motor wires if they come out the side and not the back. Amain would not accept it as a return, so I modified it by cutting it to fit my quickrun 3660sl motor and it works decent. That’s why I gave it 3 stars. 1 customer found this review helpful. Anonymous Verified Owner Sunday, Feb 15 2015 (about 10 years ago) Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink & Fan Combo Bought this for my xerun sctpro combo. read the description first it is a huge heat sink and fan!
I will fit the old style xerun with the long can motor…. Not the new style!
It is a nicely made part and the fan moves a lot of air.
I am impressed with the quality of the product but feel the description should have mentioned that it would not fit the new style motors.
The description reads as follows
“This is an optional Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink and Fan Combo. This aluminum housing heatsink will fit any motor with a diameter of 36mm and will help dissipate heat away from the motor.”
With that to my fault it does say
“Specifications:
Voltage: 5V
Size: 48 x 48 x 16mm
Heat Sink Diameter: 36 x 55mm”

Frank Tedeschi Verified Owner Saturday, Sep 6 2025 (3 weeks ago) Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink & Fan Combo Was to large for my mini xrt I put it on the lathe and cut both sides down close to the screw holes. Then cut some fins off so it just sits into the open area of the chassis. The fan is large but that’s what I wanted. Cut a bit of the back of the body for clearance. I am only running it on 3s I noticed a big difference in motor temp. I wish it was a drop in bit did not mind doing the extra work to have such a large fan compared to the rest of the ones that fit correctly. Used a cable tie to keep secure. If you don’t mind doing a little cutting it’s a great solution J Verified Owner Tuesday, Jul 15 2025 (2 months ago) Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink & Fan Combo Very tight on the HW Quicrun 3660 3700kkv . I couldn’t get the heatsink to fit with the way the motor and motor wires are mounted on my sct. I ended up using 30lb double sided tape to secure just the fan to the chassis (pro4 sc10), and use it to blow air across the motor . The fan has held up great , even with my end over end crashes on the track. Derek Reiser Verified Owner Friday, Sep 15 2023 (about 2 years ago) Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink & Fan Combo My group started a stock slash race with the brushed titan motors and this cooler makes the motor stay WAY cooler and make the motor last longer. Some cutting with a grinder to make it fit into a high CG slash but it’s worth it. Use a Dremel with a cutoff wheel. Brent W. Verified Owner Tuesday, Apr 6 2021 (about 4 years ago) Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink & Fan Combo Works great but does NOT fit the Losi Baja Rey 2.0 motor, as the heatsink is too long. I had to cut off about 1/2-inch of the aluminum heatsink to get it to fit on my motor. Additionally, seems to reduce my 2s battery packs by 2-5 mins each run so I will probably just remove the fan and keep the heatsink installed. Don’t think the fan is really required unless you’re running hard with 3s packs. Logan Verified Owner Tuesday, Jun 23 2020 (about 5 years ago) Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink & Fan Combo I don’t recommend this product I had to custom make mine so it would fit my motor but it does work well 1 of 2 customers found this review helpful. Anonymous Verified Owner Monday, Jun 17 2019 (about 6 years ago) Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink & Fan Combo The heatsink/fan mount is too long for a typical 550 size motor, also it wraps very far around the motor. I ended up having to cut a large part of the mount away to clear the motor wires and also had to cut a large portion away to clear the chassis. I installed it on a Helion Avenge XLR, which has what appears to be a hobbywing motor on it. I would suggest looking at other options if you are putting this on a 540 or 550 size motor and especially if you are installing it in a 4×4 MT, SCT, or buggy. I also imagine it would not work well in a 1/10 2wd installation. Not really sure what it would fit without significant modification. 1 of 2 customers found this review helpful. Jeremy Goss Saturday, May 26 2018 (about 7 years ago) Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink & Fan Combo Pretty good fan, ordered for a slash 4×4 didnt see it was for 1/8th motor.
Cut the heatsink, and now it works great on my slash 4×4 and keeps the motor very cool. Gomdol Verified Owner Wednesday, Jan 18 2017 (about 8 years ago) Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink & Fan Combo Great quality fan. However the motor heat sink does not fit all the motors. I tried on my Reedy 550-SL motor but it still did not fit. I am using the fan itself and it is going strong Alex scarey Verified Owner Tuesday, Jul 5 2022 (about 3 years ago) Hobbywing C1 Motor Heatsink & Fan Combo This fan setup fits like crap. I bought it to put on my hobbywing ezrun 3652sl because the description said it would fit any 36mm motor. So I figured the motor and fan are made by the same people it should fit like a dream…boy was I wrong. Luckily I’m a motorcycle mechanic and have access to tools that most people probably don’t. But after about 4.5 hours of grinding and cutting it’s finally on. If you are buying this to put it on a 4×4 slash do yourself a favor and find something else to buy 1 of 3 customers found this review helpful. View all reviews
