Andrew Apodaca Verified Owner Monday, Jul 29 2019 (about 6 years ago) Hot Racing SCX10 II AR44 HD Steel Overdrive 6-Bolt Bevel Gear Set (27T/8T) I have now put about 4 hours of solid drive time on these gears and when inspected still appear brand new. As far as performance goes, I notice improved steering, less torque twist on steep climbs and smoother descents. I wish HR made under-drive gears for AR44 axles, I would buy in a heartbeat and install in rear. 2 customers found this review helpful. David Núñez García Verified Owner Friday, Aug 23 2019 (about 6 years ago) Hot Racing SCX10 II AR44 HD Steel Overdrive 6-Bolt Bevel Gear Set (27T/8T) I do not recommend this product, it does not gear well and makes noise, when you put the differential cover it gets worse, and when the screwdrivers do not move. It was tested on used and new AR44 AXIAL housings
I think it has to go and try to change the thickness of the 8t gear bearing and see what happens.
There is not much information about this set but if it is true that I have found more people with this same problem, Amain should investigate and if so, with all remove it from the catalog
Some time later I tried vanquish caracasas and it has not worked, I have left them to a partner and only got it to work with the 8t axial gear but with washers. I have another partner who has bought some and says that it went well, I don’t know if it will be something random, if I get something and information I will keep informed.
