This is a Robinson Racing Mini 8IGHT Hard Steel .5 Mod Mini Pinion with a 2mm Bore. Compatible with 2mm motor shaft, .5 Mod applications, these hardened steel motor pinions are precision machined and stamped with the number of teeth. One 5-40 set screw included. Either the lock screw threads or gear threads were stripped. Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing Verified Owner Sunday, Apr 2 2023 (about 2 years ago) Robinson Racing Mini 8IGHT .5 Mod Hardened Steel Mini Pinion (2mm Bore) (12T) I installed this 12t pinion on a Mini-b with a Hobbywing 2030 7,800kv and 5200kv motor. On both motors this pinion gear was so out of balance, it shook the car. On a closer inspection, the bore of the pinion gear is oversized compared to the 18t pinion that came with the car and the 15t Losi pinion that I bought. I wanted to lower the temps on the motor but I’ll stay with the 15t and buy a new motor when it burns up. 1 of 2 customers found this review helpful.
