When posting pictures online on my rig with these equipped, people often have to do a double take. Mike Verified Owner Saturday, Jan 2 2021 (about 4 years ago) SSD RC Scale Locking Hubs (Red) (2) Don’t know how I see these on so many rigs… When I first ordered my set of 4 I was instantly unhappy with 1 of them because it was cross threading onto my axle. Within one week of running them the silver hub part falls off the actual nut inside. It has now happened on all 4 within two weeks, two runs and removed them once. For $30 a set of 4 and $6 for a damn tool this was a waste of money. 2 of 3 customers found this review helpful. I wasn’t sure if I needed to remove stock trx4 wheel nut to install these, so I put one on with the stock but in place, it went on but looked kinda funny sticking out a little too far. Then I removed the wheel nut on the other side and screwed the locking hub on, it would only tighten so much. I tested the wheel tightness and the wheel wasn’t secure to the hub, so, like a dummy, i torqued it down and the stud was too long and it popped the nut out of the hub. Anyway, I ended up pressing the stock nut into the hub with vice grips, very tight fit but it worked. Will not just screw on a stock trx4, be prepared to be innovative Not sure how to add a picture or I would 1 of 2 customers found this review helpful. View all reviews
