This is an optional Blade Aluminum Horizontal Stabilizer Fin Mount, and is intended for use the Blade 450 3D and 450 X helicopter kits. This aluminum stabilizer mount is rigid, lightweight and provides improved precision during 3D maneuvers.

Anonymous Verified Owner Friday, Oct 18 2013 (about 11 years ago) Blade Aluminum Horizontal Stabilizer Fin Mount This product is a sturdy alternative to the stock fin mount. There are several annoying things about its design: (1) you have to remove the hardware from the end of the tail boom in order slide the aluminum fin mount mount on, (2) the way the boom supports attach is completely different from the stock mount—and it’s not clear at first how you’re supposed to do it, (3) the existing plastic fin must be turned upside down in order to attach it.
In my opinion, a better design would be a two piece aluminum mount with tail support mounting holes on the side like the stock support. A picture on the package of how to install would have been helpful. View all reviews
