ProTek RC Clear Double Sided Servo Tape Roll (1×40″)

ProTek R/C Clear Double Sided Tape is a 40″ long roll of the 1″ wide clear double side tape that has become a must have for RC use. This tape is 1mil thick and is perfect for securing receivers, ESC’s or transponders to your RC car. The adhesive on the tape will keep your device securely fastened where you want it, yet the material remains easy to remove and leaves no residue behind. The waterproof, heat resistant properties help it stand up to the elements, and the soft, flexible material will conform to curved or uneven surfaces, and helps to reduce vibration to the component. Protek RC offers two types of double sided tape, clear and grey. Clear is recommend for warm weather and is superior on carbon fiber surfaces.

Very, very difficult to peel off after applying. Have to use a knife to start peeling it, then it starts coming up as you try and peel it back. Worst tape I’ve ever used.

It is very sticky, but things move too much. It should not be trusted on 1/8 ESCs. It could cause your ESC to bang into other things in your car. It is hard to peel the backing off of it. you need to use an exacto knife to do that without causing much fuss. I thoughly clean surfaces with alcohol before using servo tape, and this stuff still wants to peel off before releasing the backing. Have had a roll of this for many years from a different company and have used it on just about everything. Have used it just as a cushion,,by leaving the backing on one side. Heard of guys using this to adhere servo to fuselage on high speed high G jets. Glad it is still around. Good for about 50% nitro as tested. Once you eclipse that,,it starts to give way. Heat gun will make it release fairly easy. Don’t get greedy pulling up and you might be able to reuse it. You can even use it to mount a fan to cool off a motor in a buggy, I have thrown away all my other mounts because of this. When you remove the tap, simply stretch it sideways and it will release, no residue. Waterproof to an extent. Acts more like a glue than tape, but no mess! I use it for my receivers, escs, switches etc… So much better than the foam type servo tape. Just don’t touch it with your fingers – use a X-acto blade to peel the backing.
