This is a pack of twelve ProTek R/C “DustBuster 2” Air Filters, intended for use with the Team Associated RC8B3, Losi/TLR 8IGHT family of vehicles, Serpent SRX8, Tekno NB48 2.0 family of vehicles and the D8 family of vehicles equipped with the optional Hot Bodies V2 Air Filter Set (HBS114623).

Casey Holmes Verified Owner Thursday, Aug 7 2025 (7 weeks ago) ProTek RC “DustBuster 2” TLR Style Air Filter Foam (12) These filters work great. I’m here in 2025 buying my 2nd set of them when the first set I purchased was in 2020! I still have most all of them and still use them.
I like these un-oiled filters as I prefer to use NoToil brand air filter oil, which is water based instead of petroleum based, which means it requires a detergent to clean it (such as OxiClean from the laundry aisle in the store). Petroleum based air filter oils require a solvent to clean them, which is harsher on the foam so they don’t last as long. If you purchased the pre-oiled filters, you’d have to clean the oil out with a solvent first to then start using NoToil filter oil, so better to just start with un-oiled filters in the first place.
So since there’s no solvent/petroleum, I can easily clean my filters in a bucket in the kitchen sink w/o stinking up the house, and my filters have lasted me quite a long time. I’m only buying more of them just to go even longer between cleaning, which I do in batches of several dirty air filters, including the ones on my dirt bikes. I think it’s a good idea to have lots of filters oiled up and kept in a ziploc bag in your tool box so that it’s less of a burden to swap filters frequently on dusty days. When it’s really bad, I’ll go less than 1 hour before swapping, and my engines thank me for it.
