It blew off all the rubber with in a day of use to the point where it had to remove the guides to get the wheel to hit my flywheel. Massively regret buying this, usually protek stuff is good. Cons: it’s currently backordered. It’s also a super soft rubber.
The protek box itself is great. Usually their stuff is better than their price point. This time though, a $5 wheel is exactly that, a cheap wheel.

I love ProTek products, and for the most part customer service is great as well, but this wheel is crap! I have bought the Mugen Seiki Pro Starter Rubber Wheel (BII/RII) and will be testing it out as it fits the ProTek starter, and everyone is saying how much harder the rubber is.
Please Protek make an upgraded wheel that is harder rubber. Anthony Williamson Verified Owner Sunday, Jun 6 2021 (about 4 years ago) ProTek RC “SureStart” Replacement Rubber Wheel Just bought the prostart starter and used it to start my new engine to break it in. After only 10 starts the rubber wheel was worn down. The rubber feels too soft. I purchased 2 more replacement wheels and if they wear down as fast as the original one did then I will buy a pull start or a drill starter.. Not happy with the soft rubber wheel but The engine is new OS .21 samari so Mabye it was just too much friction for the starter wheel..
