ProTek RC “TruTorque” Clutch Shoe & Spring Assembly Tool

This is the ProTek R/C “TruTorque” Clutch Assembly Tool. No one wants to spend money on low quality tools. The ProTek R/C “TruTorque” clutch assembly tool simplifies clutch shoe removal and installation. This tool helps to make a daunting task as easy as a turn of the wrist. Simply slide the end of the tool over the crankshaft of any .12 to .30+ size nitro engine, guide the spring hook under the clutch spring and rotate the handle counter-clockwise to lift the spring out of the groove in the clutch nut. The clutch shoe and spring will slide off the flywheel pin when you pull the tool off the crank. 

When its time to re-install the shoes, slide the clutch shoe and spring over the flywheel pin and then slide the tool over the crank. Guide the spring hook beneath the clutch spring, gently turn the tool counter-clockwise to lift the spring above the clutch nut and push forward to seat the shoe. Then, turn the tool a little further so the spring hook rotates out from beneath the clutch spring and remove the tool. Verify that the clutch spring is seated in the clutch nut correctly, and you’re done!

It even lifts the shoe up a little bit so the spring pops off the nut sort of automatically. Unlike that other tool I’ve been using where I have to wrestle the shoe & spring up myself, this one gets it up for you while you twist. I don’t know if I can install shoes with this since I havn’t tried that yet but if it turns out all I can do with it is remove them, I’m still totally happy with this. Removal takes less than two seconds per shoe.
