RC4WD AX2 2-Speed Transmission

This is an optional RC4WD AX2 2-Speed Transmission. This transmission is a direct fit in the Axial Wraith, and SCX10 trucks, but short wheel base (SWH = 11.5″) SCX10 trucks will require relocation of the battery tray or ESC box, and the Wraith will require you remove the shifters from the interior.

NOTE:

• For best results you will need to remove the shifters from the Wraith interior.
• Put the servo on and attach the shift linkage.
• Install in Wraith and refit the interior.
• Without pinion/spur, stock Axial tranny is 2.6:1

Joseph DeRosa Saturday, Jan 6 2024 (about a year ago) RC4WD AX2 2-Speed Transmission I run one in my bomber with tekin roc412hd 3100kv and another in a custom crawler both on 3s. Never any problems. Hi and Lo ratios are pretty far apart so you get really nice low end and high speed options. These things have definitely proven themselves to me. I’d recommend. Sean Trokey Verified Owner Friday, Jan 13 2023 (about 2 years ago) RC4WD AX2 2-Speed Transmission The case is well machined and everything inside looks good, however there’s too much slop in the gears, the spur gear rotated almost 180° before the outputs move, that makes it hard to finesse a crawler and seems like a good way to break parts. I ordered this to try out in comparison to the SSD transmission since it comes complete rather than as a kit, I received this transmission yesterday and I already ordered another SSD transmission and all the pieces to complete it to replace this unit. I’ll spend the extra money and order the SSD from now on. Also as stated in other reviews there’s no spur gear cover and the stock Axial cover won’t fit.
