Been waiting for this trailer to come back in stock for almost a year to go with my Sonicwake Pro Boat. I had heard through the grapevine that the trailer was back in stock so I made my purchase through AMain anticipating they would get one. I waited for a couple weeks and hadn’t heard anything so I reached out to these guys to ask if they had gotten any conformation, but hadn’t and it was still on back order. I told them I had heard that RC4WD had them in-stock so they checked with them and low and behold,BINGO it was in the mail heading my way. Thanks Again AMain for coming through when you need them. Total shipping time was 21 days, I had to pay an additional 58€ ~ 66USD for customs duty in Germany. The trailer is exactly as displayed on the homepage. All lights are working by use of a 9V Battery block. The 3 Axels are rigid, what makes tight turning radius somewhat challenging. I will use it to tow various RC boats of up to 10kg. This seems no issue based on first tests. The trailer is built very sturdy. Scott P. Verified Owner Tuesday, Jan 14 2025 (8 months ago) RC4WD BigDog 1/10 Triple Axle Scale Boat Trailer The trailer is a beautiful piece of scale hardware. The only thing that was missing was 4 nuts and bolts holding the wheels together. I had extra. no big deal. It fits my old Proboat Voracity36 pretty well. I will be adding some scale material to the bunks that the boat sets on. This will make it fit and conform to the hull of the boat more precisely.
I also left a review on RC4WD website saying the same thing. They didnt have it in stock. My only suggestion was to offer the trailer with no wheels and just the tires. Im going to put some aluminum wheels on it to match the boat. I think most people do this anyway. It would cut down on manufacturing cost for them. My thoughts were to offer 6 aluminum wheels in 1.55 in different styles. Im just not a fan of the old stamped steelies whether its in 1/10 scale or fullsize.
Lastly, if you keep your boat on this trailer and both on a shelf until you take it out to use it, the weight of the boat and trailer will leave huge flat spots on the tires. And they dont come out easy. View all reviews
