Anthony Robles Verified Owner Monday, Aug 12 2024 (about a year ago) Robinson Racing 32P Hardened Steel Spur Gear (SC10) (54T) Very well made solid gear high quality USA made part. However I ran into a problem with the bearing on this gear. Since it’s made in the US the bearing is not metric sized. I was intending to use this to modify a Kyosho Outlaw Rampage to 32p gearing. The problem was the shaft measures 5mm but the inside diameter of the supplied bearing with this gear is 3/16 of an inch or 4.7625mm so I could not get it into the shaft. On top of that the outside diameter of the bearing and corresponding hole in the gear is 3/8 of an inch or about 9.5mm. So I was unable to swap a metric bearing into it to make it work. Not sure how this issue is overcome in the SC10, if the top shaft is also measured in inches or if the tolerance is just looser to allow this to fit. I made a custom bushing to press into the gear to solve the problem for my purposes. Ultimately my issue was caused by trying to use this for an application it was not designed for, so not an issue with the product. It is interesting to see Imperial sized components when most manufacturers are using metric hardware. Again I am not sure if this is an issue with the SC10 or how it is overcome but be aware and maybe do some measuring before you buy. Handled 2400kv on 5S perfectly, never had any problems. Barely showed signs of wear after months of bashing, and steel gears sound great! View all reviews
