The SSD TRX4 12mm Aluminum Hex Set was designed to give TRX-4 owners a hex option that will allow them to use aftermarket wheels designed for Axial 1.9 applications.

NOTE:These hexes do not fit stock TRX-4 wheels. They are intended for use with aftermarket wheels with hubs that fit an Axial style hex.

I winged it and ordered. The stock pin from TRX4 (Traxxas part #8269) does not fit into this hex as claimed by SSD RC. I am disappointed. Brandon Taylor Verified Owner Sunday, Feb 5 2023 (about 2 years ago) SSD RC 12mm Aluminum Hex Set for Traxxas TRX-4 (4) Made my aftermarket wheels with an SLW style hub fit much better. They help support the hub further towards the center of the wheel vs only near the back with the hex. The machining and anodizing is very nicely done. The hex fitment is much better than stock as well.
I mounted these with my existing (used for 2 years) Traxxas cross pins. The smooth shank was very tight but they did fit without damaging anything and threaded in nicely.

$39 for 3 sets of SSD Hex and $30 for the labor of the machinist. SCAM!!!
