SSD RC 2-Speed Wraith Transmission Kit

The SSD 2-Speed Wraith Transmission Kit gives Wraith owners a machined aluminum 2 speed option that will give the best of both worlds – higher wheel speed for the flats, and improved low speed control for technical crawling.

NOTE:This is a 2-speed conversion that requires you add your existing transmission components to complete. See needed to complete list below for a full listing of items required to build a complete 2-speed transmission.

• CNC machined aluminum transmission case
• CNC machined aluminum 3mm thick motor mount
• Wide hardened steel 48 pitch gears
• Hardened steel output shaft
• Shift servo mount fits standard and mini servos
• Same mounting as stock Axial Wraith & SCX10 transmission

• Fits stock Axial transmission gear cover
• Direct fit into Axial Wraith

• This is a conversion kit, not a complete transmission.
• Will require shifters to be removed from Wraith interior.
• This can be used on an SCX10 but shorter driveshafts are required.

I ordered all the extra pieces listed to build a complete transmission so I could keep my stock one intact, however there is one thing missing from the list, you will need a pair of AXIA1218 5x10x4 bearings for the input drive gear shaft. 2 customers found this review helpful. Francesc Xavier Masip Cullerés Verified Owner Wednesday, Feb 1 2023 (about 2 years ago) SSD RC 2-Speed Wraith Transmission Kit A pita to take apart and build again, no manual anywhere, but works great in my Axial Wraith. A lower ratio for 1st gear will be great. I manage to mount a PowerHD TR-4 servo below servo mount to gain space.
Forgot to mention that the 3mm motor plate is not enough rigid with the stock plastic back spur gear cover mounted. If you apply a little bit of force you can deflect it and see how the pinion loose the contact with spur gear.
A better desing w/o the plastic back cover will be a great upgrade View all reviews
