The fact is these ball cups are not cheap, at $2 a piece. However they last FOREVER. I’ve been racing a pair of XRAY buggies on carpet for over a year, and not a single ball cup has broken nor worn out. I can’t say that for any other kit I’ve raced in my 30+ year hobby. These cups snap on with the perfect tolerance for free movement but no slop, and they stay that way over time. Basically the best you could ask for with a ball cup. Anonymous Verified Owner Friday, Mar 27 2020 (about 5 years ago) XRAY 4.9mm Closed Composite Ball Joint w/Hole (4) I noticed that these ball cups were very hard. They seem to last, unless they come into contact with the rear wheel and then they wear down and need replacing. Ray has, like always, thought of ways to screw the customer yet again. How can we design the car in planned obsolescence in order to sell many ball cups for $7.99 for a 4-pack? Of course they would figure that one out just like the rest of the wimp car.
